Okay, I found out yesterday I have a ishtload of vacation time. Four weeks. And if I don't use it, I lose it. The thing is, I'm still earning it -- so even though I'm taking about six days off in the next month or two, I'm still earning five days back. So I decided I should take more time off, even if it's just three-day weekends once a month to help keep me sane. And, I think I'll actually go to True Spirit conference in February. I haven't been and I think it's time. Plus, maybe I can get a free consultation with Brownstein.

I e-mailed the entertainment coordinator to see if they need a DJ. Maybe I can get free registration for doing a set or two -- I'm not looking to be paid big bucks or anything.

So, of course, I had to create a poll. I want to know who else is going. If you have no idea what True Spirit is, you can go here or just skip it. My feelings won't be hurt or anything.

Thanks man -- I'll definitely think about your offer. I might just fly, since if I can find a flight for less than 200 bucks it will be worth it to me. I'm also still thinking about whether I'll want to stay in the hotel for the conference or stay with various people I know living in DC. But we can talk more about it soon.

i think that ri and i are going to fly out this year. we drove last year (well, actually, alex drove and we rode along, so i'm sure it was worse for him than it was for us) and it SUCKED. that's just too many hours in a car. michellemybell has asked us to room with her and her boyfriend, and i think that we might pack some more people in there to save money. i don't know if you want to be in on all that, but you're definately welcome to come by and hang out. i'm excited that you're going. we all talked about how we wished you were there last year. although i must say that there was some weird lj east coast/midwest trannyboy clique-y-ness that was happening. but we can gossip more about that later.

I will be happy to bridge the gap between midwest/east coast people, including the use of my body for communion. Anything for the cause. Besides, I got the DC crowd on lockdown. Or at least the cool people that are worth knowing. Ha!

Seriously though, thanks for the offer. I'll definitely be hanging out in your room and it's nice to know I can sleep on your floor for a night if necessary. Or we can push the two queen-size beds together and have a big Waltons'-style family bed.

maybe we could coordinate flying in together -- let me know when y'all start looking into buying tickets. as of today, i found some on American for $192 roundtrip. of course, i don't have the money today for such things and will probably wait until after new year's.

Southwest is basically the same except they go through BWI. I don't have any experience with any other airlines to speak of..

Ick. BWI is an hour away. :/ That's a bit long for a shuttle, but I think I should have some rapid rewards coming. Train is the same price and comes in two blocks away from the Hotel but takes from 7 pm to 8 am-ish.

I've taken the bus and train from BWI to Union Station -- it's actually not too bad. I think it's just the bus only goes every half an hour, so if we miss it we have to wait awhile.

but we can figure out the nitpicky details later. ;)
