So now I'm curious -- what's the astrological makeup of my livejournal friends? (Some of you I know already, but feel free answer anyway so I can see the spread and discuss any trends in future posts.)

EDIT: I'm a flake. I swear I counted but somehow messed up and forgot Pisces. I should have cheated and used a horoscope site. DOH! Many, many apologies to my Pisces friends (particularly new ones -- what a first impression!), and please just let me know in the text section of the other questions or in a comment.

I very seldom pay attention to people's signs. Maybe cause I can never remember people's birthdays. I do know that I tend to be really attracted, initially, to saggitariuses, but it always fails miserably.

I'm not really an expert astrologer -- I'm a dabbler. Usually rising sign is sort of your 'outer personality' and your sun sign (i.e. what most people mean when they ask your sign) is your 'inner pesonality'. Since you're a Cancer with a Cancer rising, you would therefore exhibit Cancer personality through and through (while also accounting for other planets and whatnot). What sign your moon is in can also effect your personality since the moon effects your emotions and emotional personality. So, usually get a more accurate reading of someone, rather than asking 'what's your sign', you can ask sun sign, rising sign and moon.

I am a Cancer, Aries rising. So on the outside I'm very fiery and social and outgoing and click well with other Aries, but I'm actually more introverted than extroverted and inside I'm all Cancer. Sometimes I find it helpful to read the daily horoscopes of Cancer and Aries.

I don't know as much about what signs click with other signs and why -- part of curiosity in doing the poll.

i just went to astrocenter.com -- apparently my rising sign is scorpio. in some ways, frighteningly accurate. however, i think that my combined leo and scorpio dont do just to my actual insecurities -- they make me sound much more confident than i really am. i mean, obviously i am very confident in a lot of ways, but not 100% of the time.

it's possible they're wrong -- Damon broke it down to me one time, about how there's different systems to calculate rising sign, and the system he uses (which means it's obviously the best) has my rising sign as Aries, though sometimes online programs calculate my rising sign as Pisces, which is so not me. that would make me way too watery, as he puts it.

next time your in town, you should have him do your chart! or you can e-mail your information to him and he can do it for you too.
