I get overly perturbed about "dance" remixes of songs that are already highly danceable. It's just not the same stupid house beat that's conducive to just standing and jiggling your drink. God forbid you should actually dance in a way that uses your whole body and interprets the music. Oh wait, I guess that lame club dance does interpret that lame club beat.
You'd think I just came from a bar, which would explain my bizarre late night bitterness. But no, I'm annoyed with the drunks wandering off the sidewalk in front of my car while driving home, as well as the people who are currently hollering outside my window. Such is the price one pays for living in Trendyville.
It's bedtime for bonzo.

Andy Bell must be stopped.
Date: 2003-03-17 10:20 am (UTC)As I was driving home a few weeks ago, I nearly wrecked my car after hearing the first few bars of Erasure doing a horrid dance remix of Peter Gabriel's Solsbury Hill ... WTF?
I understood their dance remixes of ABBA songs ... that makes sense, but Peter Gabriel? Especially that song. I was perturbed.
