Today has been brought to me by the following albums: Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska, Lucinda Williams's World Without Tears, Shawn Colvin's Cover Girl, and Emmylou Harris & Linda Ronstadt's Western Wall. For those who might be unfamiliar with what this soundtrack would be like, picture dusty desert stretches of interstate in long boat-like cars and stopping at small town gas stations. I need a cowboy hat and to be wearing more denim. And smoking, of course. But no, I'm just wearing my brown pants and blue plaid shirt, looking like my typical sexy nerd fag self.
Thanks to folks who posted comments to my request for introductions, as I have been highly entertained and informed by your answers. I think "what's your least favorite movie" is my new favorite random getting-to-know-you question because in some ways it's just as telling and more interesting than knowing the most favorite. Also, I feel like there's often a story involved. I mean, why exactly did you end up sitting through such a horrifying spectacle of celluloid?
And of course, I will answer my own questions.
1. Raymond aka Ray aka Raybear aka Ray J aka DJ BoyWonder aka Honky Cat aka Whoadie aka Miss Mirriam Webster aka Have you met me?
2. I stumbled into my world through the help of literature and friends and hours of therapy.
3. My favorite sandwich might be grilled cheese with slices of tomato and avocado. Runners-up include the italian subs at Jimmy John's and Potbelly.
4. Currently my favorite shirt is blue. Bright toy blue. As featured in my userpic. Runners-up include all my grey shirts.
5. This is a complicated question for me, because sometimes I love bad movies because they're campy or because they're so bad. But if I base it on "time lost and never regained", I'll go with the boring factor.
Worst movies seen in the theater:
Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (I think I fell asleep in every scene that didn't feature The Lady Chablis -- and I LOVE Savannah)
The Chase (I was on a date and he had horrible taste in movies and always did the choosing since he also did the paying.)
Worst movies I've rented:
Black & White
Hush
Glitter
(the last two were supposed to be so bad they were good, but they were just so bad they were bad)
There are lots of other movies that I've never finished because they were bad, but I thought I would only include ones I've seen in their entirety.
