Shock and awe
Great, now I need a new hobby.
Dear WYWO fans:
Yes, it's true. After 50 episodes and a year on the road as the host of "While You Were Out," I will be leaving. I chose not to return for the second season.
It was a very difficult decision; being on the show was a phenomenal experience, both personally and professionally. I'm grateful to have met 50 amazing homeowners, six fantastic designers and two of the best handypeople alive. Our crew was like family, my sound guy, the camera men, I saw them more than I saw my own family- not to mention cat - for a year.
Still, being on the road 200 days a year was wearing on me and I'm hoping to pursue television and writing projects that don't involve quite so many frequent flier miles.
I want to thank the fans who wrote to me, who supported me and who watched the show with so much enthusiasm. You made it all worthwhile.
Lastly - I want to let you know that there are four or five more original "Strasser Episodes" that have yet to air. One - an outdoor location in Pennsylvania - you won't believe. So, keep watching. Trust me on this. I haven't met the new host but I've seen his photo and he seems to be quite the looker. Give him a chance, I hear he's a nice guy.
Thanks again for all your support and interest. Don't worry, you'll see me again soon (hopefully not on a milk carton).
With gratitude -
Teresa
