You say it's your birthday.
Jun. 26th, 2001 10:09 amDear John, Paul, George, Ringo, and Joe (the 5th Beatle),
First off, thank you to all my LJ friends for wishing me pleasant salutations, on this day, the 24th anniversary of my birth. I am honored. And while on the subjects of brithdays, a happy belated brithday to both Kisha AND Dylan. Sorry I missed your birthday, kids. I was at home enjoying penetration, Nina Hartley and Tahitian Treat (which is a type of fruit punch), much like Tara said. Seriously, I did. How did she know? She called Miss Cleo, of course.
So Saturday I laid low like Snoop. I also made kick ass chicken nuggets for dinner. And weird cream corn that came in a tube.
On Sunday, I slept in then went to the Pride parade. It was just dandy. My friend Damon, Co___ and Ji___ came along for the fun. It wasn't too hot, and I got to drive the "float" (i.e. the SUV) for half the parade route, which was wonderful. I had several drunk gay men approach me in the car. One I thought for sure would kiss me. Why were all the cute flirtatious ones sloshed and therefore somewhat gross (and yet still appealing)? Anyway....
Yesterday I DIDNT HAVE TO WORK BECAUSE IT WAS A PAID HOLIDAY. hee hee. I cleaned my kitchen and my bathroom, Damon came by and we played video games and hung out some. Then last night I did a whole lot of not too much. But 2 exciting things happened.
One, I got a birthday card in the mail from my parents with a check so I can by new clothes. And my dad made the check out to "Raymond Johnson". It was shocking to say the least. Obviously, I can't be too excited, because my dad must have realized he had to make a check out to my legal name. But it was sort of weird that he made it out to Raymond and not Aaron. Hmm. So anyway, I saw it as a fairly good step, though I'm not getting my hopes up too high. This is the first contact I've had from them in almost a month, even though I've sent a couple e-mails, a card, and a phone message. MAybe they'll call tonight -- I can't decide if I'll answer the phone or not.
Two, Melanie called! Yay! And she got my care package in the mail yesterday. I hope she didn't find my letter too sappy, especially since another one was mailed yesterday! We only got to talk for about 10 minutes, but it was still good and I hope we can talk again soon.
So anyway, today's my birthday, and nothing too exciting has happened so far, though Lisa gave me some gifts I haven't opened yet. I'll probably have cake with the office too, which is always nice. And tonight I'm just staying home. The celebration will come this weekend. Today is a school night, after all.
That's all for now. Perhaps more heartwrenching emotional commentary will come later, but for now I can only type the daily report.
The long and winding road,
Sgt Pepper
[In honor of Joe]
p.s. My birthday gift to myself (the Wahl electric vibrator) is fabulous.
