Oh, moon in Sagittarius. That explains some things, such as my mild moodiness with no discernible reason or problem.

CANCER (Jun 21–Jul 22): You are still integrating the experiences of the past week that may have included a healing breakthrough involving an emotional wound from your past. Don’t just quickly move on. There are still goodies to be harvested from this experience. Remember that forgiveness can be the key to continued healing. Forgive others and forgive yourself. This will make it easier to move on to what’s next, when that’s appropriate.

Dear RAYMOND,
This would be an ideal day to spend some time alone, RAYMOND. With all the mania of the past few days, you need to take some time to recharge your batteries and revive your flagging spirits. You could be feeling a little drained and you won't much feel like performing for others. If you are feeling a bit discouraged about things either financial or personal, trust that all will be resolved shortly.

Still battling agoraphobia, which comes in spastic waves. Like I'll be standing outside on the sidewalk at 10:15 pm walking Sophie, the exact time of the incident, and will feel free, unencumbered, safe, but this morning I choke back paranoia while waiting for the bus in broad daylight.

Last night I got distracted by downloading music. I can't believe I was even trying that isht with dial-up -- sometimes my patience amazes myself. With DSL, I downloaded as many songs in a few hours as I had in the entire past three months combined. I'm expecting my lawsuit to show up in the mail anyday.

I'm very much in love with the novel I'm reading: Mating. I also seem to be bleeding in some random places on my body, none of them related to each other.

That pretty much brings us current.

avoid the lawsuits!

as much as you can, anyway. you know about all those recommended precautions for downloading? i.e., how to adjust your settings so you're not sharing music. that's where they get you. i found directions on some duke university website. i think it's good for ya.

yeah, i disabled the "upload" function so no one can download my isht. but then i feel guilty, like i'm taking from the pool but not giving back! ah well.

i read in the paper last week that they've filed something like 200 complaints but there's something like 3 million people who download illegally. so statistics are on my side.

"Mating" by Norman Rush?? Very good - though I liked his collection of short stories "Whites," even better. Some of them are truly amazing (plus, with my/your interest in race stuff, it's even more profound).

I actually think of you sometimes when reading it because of the South Africa connection! I'll have to check out the short stories.

Estoy Aqui was the first Shakira song I ever knew and loved. We used to listen to it in my spanish classes in college because mi profesora de espanol was a little on the crazy side. She would come into class and do that purr thing that starts of flamingo dances then call out "Today! We dance! Ahora! Bailamos!" She was absolutely fabulous. Once I turned in my daily email and it referenced something about mi novia and she wrote back "tu novio?" and I replied "No, No, mi noviA, me gusta chicas" to which she replied "bueno." It may very well have been the most amusing exchange I've had with a professor to date, however, she did also once take 2 points off of an essay because I decided to make a play on the title of "fools rush in" and titled my essay "fools rush out." I lost the 2 points for "misspelling the movie title." Still one of my most memorable college professors. I'm glad I could write this two page comment for you.
