How come film categories for american films have clarifying words like "thriller" or "comedy" or "horror" or "drama" but all foreign movies get the generic "foreign" genre title? How do I know if it's funny or romantic or scary? I only know that it probably has subtitles!

But that's what I really am writing about. I'm posting to pimp myself.

This weekend, I can be found spinning at two events.
First, anyone in the University of Chicago area should come to the Coming Out Ball on Saturday night at Ida Noyes Hall where I'm spinning from 9 am to 1 am. I think it's free or really cheap.
Second, on Sunday I'm DJing the early part of the evening at Big Wig for the Dominatrix Waitrix party which is $7 but well worth it and not just because of my music.

Next weekend I'll be in Minneapolis for IDKE. I'm only planning on attending the shows on Friday and Saturday night and not the workshops, probably hanging out mostly with brothernumber3. But I'll be on the lookout for those other folks on my friends list going who I want to meet (hello redrider, qvalentine, and supergoat!). Maybe we can do coffee or brunch or something more scandalous later in the evening if you see me on the dance floor.

If you're planning your life far in advance around DJ Boywonder's schedule, I'm also DJing the Chicago Kings November 1st show at Circuit and again at Big Wig on November 2nd.

Oh, and if you live in Chicago and we're pals, keep the evening of October 23rd open.

I need a nap. Or a job where I can go home at 2 pm.

unfortunately, I will be unable to attend IDKE. Too bad too because it sounds lovely. I'll have to hear all about it from RedRider. Slap her on the ass for me, or I'll tell her to slap your ass for me, one or the other.
