Buying all your books for schools just isn't as exciting when done online. I love buying things off the internet, don't get me wrong, but the lack of instant gratification and the sinking feeling of dread when the big stack of new books looms over your desk after you get home....oh, wait. I was rather appalled at my total being around 80 bucks, then I remembered I used to regularly spend $300 per quarter during undergraduate. I'm getting off easy.
Last night I had the fun of reading seminar descriptions and choosing which ones to attend. The best part of this program is that the excitement of the topic has no time to wane -- in every new quarter in school, I'd start off with lofty expectations and excitement on the topic, which would normally taper off by the second week. This time, you read all the books ahead of time, go in for a presentation and discussion on the topic, then that's it, you're on your own. No time to get burned out.
Yeah, I'm finally starting to get into the spirit of this school thing. But I'll spare you any further giddyness and talkative excitement.
I'm looking rather sharp today in my new thrift store find. A hipster brand button down shirt in maroon. Next Door Coworker said, "it's a nice color -- you're definitely an autumn."
The rainy weather doesn't help my feeling of sleep-hangover. I feel like I've just been pulled out of a REM state, even though I've been awake for three hours now.
