Yesterday in the mail I got my financial aid packet from Antioch AND (finally) my rejection letter from Bennington. I can't believe I forgot to mention either, probably because 1) I can't understand all the info regarding my loans other than what lines to initial, and 2) I wasn't surprised or hurt by the Bennington letter. In fact, I was rather appalled by what their obvious form letter said: "we are unable to offer you a position in our program. We know you are disappointed by this." Whatthefck? Um, actually, no I wasn't disappointed by it at all. I mean, maybe if it had happened several weeks ago or if I had been invested in your program, but not now that I'm excited by the school I chose. But thanks for playing, you pompous jerks.

hahahaa when i applied to schools undergrad, i applied to one school as a safety and their admin. process was so screwed up that i never heard back from them one way or the other. one day out of nowhere in JUNE after graduation, I get this really stank letter from them that boiled down to "so r u comin' here or not? other people want to come here and you're in their way." I had a ball calling and telling them I had never gotten the stupid acceptance letter and considering the tone of the letter I did get, they should never have gotten into education.

GO MONEY FOR SCHOOL! GO ANTIOCH!!! congrats. it's that much closer....

I'm almost tempted to write them back and inform them that their rejection letter sucks, but I worry it would just be seen as sour grapes.
