Is there anyone else who wears slightly mysterious bruises

Apparently, I was meant to have lunch alone today. Last Friday I made somewhat tentative plans for today with someone which got rescheduled to next week, which made me happy since I wasn't really in the mood to be social. But then at 11 am, I suddenly was, so I e-mailed [livejournal.com profile] dommeyourass about lunch. Ten minutes after she said yes, [livejournal.com profile] thebrownhornet called to say he was in the area, did I have lunch plans? Ooops, yes I did. I rainchecked him. Fifteen minutes ago, DYA called to raincheck me, so now I'm back to having lunch alone today. Which is obviously where I was supposed to be all along, I just find it amusing the random path my plans had to first take.

I did have a brief chat with [livejournal.com profile] vimandvigor which amused me greatly, but I'll only share the one part when Ambi said "well, we all know there's a share of non-livejournalers out there who are quietly reading our journals....." which I vehemently denied (though I know of course it's true). I don't want to think about it, though I probably constantly write with that knowledge lurking in the back of my head. What's that saying about write as if your parents are dead? I think in general I do. It's the making public part that's harder. The saying should be "PUBLISH as if your parents are dead."
