It's Friday afternoon and I did work in the morning so now I'm passing the time dividing my brain into numbered categories.

1. The headline for today's Chicago Sun-Times is "Paid To Do Nothing". Poet Co-worker cut it out and pasted it on her computer monitor. I mentioned to NextDoor Co-worker if she had seen what I deemed "a flagrancy", and she responded "yeah, I was at the opening gala 5 minutes ago."

2. Everyone else in the world is really into Paris Hilton, but I'm more of a Nicole Richie guy myself.

3. I took Roberto to lunch today, partly for his birthday, partly because we never get to hang out. He's an Aquarian in a relationship with a Cancer, I'm a Cancer in a relationship with an Aquarian. We act as astrological interpreters for each other, though we actually spent more time talking about pursing life dreams.

4. I'm currently perusing teaching assistant positions at my former college for their summer high school student program. I have no allegiance to my alum, in fact it's usually closer to revulsion, but might as well capitalize on all that money spent for the hopes of my application getting closer to the top of the pile. Of course, I learned of the job opportunity today and the deadline is in two weeks, but hey, a little pressure is good for my soul.

5. I finished writing a letter to my mom I started a couple days ago and in the second half I tried to be honest rather than fake. I printed it, sealed it, stamped it, dropped it in the mail. Then I thought "hmm, was I too mean?" So I re-read my words and had to laugh at how not-angry my words are. Maybe this is one of those times people talk about where I should write a letter that never gets sent.

That pretty much brings us current. Back to working on "The 24-hour Cock."

1. Oh my, aren't we subtle? Funny!

2. Me too, although that's only if I really really had to choose between those 2. I'm not too crazy about either of them.

For once I know where your quote-title comes from. That's because I used to hear: "Lucky that my breasts are small and humble so you don't confuse them with muffins." It did not make much sense. You know, the Spanish accent and all, hum.

Have a good weekend!

You knew I'd respond to this

First of all, I want to go on record as saying I no longer love Paris Hilton. And it all has to do with The Simple Life. Second of all, Nicole is the one who's a total asshole (judging from the show). Third, if you're talking looks, you may be right (if one had to choose between the two of them at gunpoint...otherwise, I'd take neither).

You were the first one I knew to be obsessed with Paris, but now it seems to be all over my friends page. And I had noticed your mention of Paris had dwindled down to zero. I'm obviously choosing Nicole when it comes to "between the two" -- if they were competing against normal people, they'd never win. I think I like Nicole because she's so completely over the top wrong and trashy that there's no mixed emotions. And she's all about boy-on-boy action.
