Last night, while doing various laundry and kitchen related tasks, I watched three episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm including my favorite one where he negotiates his wife's anger level down to a 7 out of 10 for the car ride home but agrees she can go back up to an 8 when they get home. I don't know why that scene kills me. The show is strange because I was really only paying half-attention while eating and cooking and cleaning and whatnot and I don't remember laughing outloud at all. But today while thinking about some of the scenes, I'd start cracking up. Nevertheless, I'm returning the dvd to Netflix as I can't tolerate the show too much, mostly because his character is a near-pathological liar but he's horrible at it. I mean, I'm a much better liar and I generally only engage in it when trying to keep surprise gifts a secret or during various work-related conversations ("I was just about to call you about that....").

After some comment exchanges with [livejournal.com profile] wrdgrrl yesterday about being quality dog parents, I paid extra attention to Sophie while home last night. There were some amusing exchanges between her and Liesl, the cat, and progress is definitely being made, no matter how slowly. Then again, they've been living together for less than five months, and considering they are both adult animals who never previously lived with a different animal species (other than humans) and had to readjust to a new home in general, maybe it's not that slow.

I'm currently reading Pulling Taffy for school which I didn't like initially, but now I'm hooked. And damn, it's hot. I read about 50 pages last night then turned out the light to go to sleep, but I was too turned on to do so. Five minutes later, I was quite relaxed and drowsy.

1. I find Curb to elicit a near-equal combination of laughter and face-hiding.

2. I still want to lick your icon.
