What's your story?

I'm pretty sure I know everyone's deal on my friends list, but why not make a poll to clarify? Plus it might be fun to see what the spread looks like. I tried to be inclusive of the spectrum, though it's obviously bent a little towards those who are actively dating/playing.

Also, please be liberal in your definition of the word "can", but not unethical. By this I mean, sure, techinicaly we CAN have sex with anyone we want, but is it agreed and approved of by the person/people you're dating?

I am "sort of" in a relationship with somebody, but it's neither serious or monogamous because 1. He's in Seattle and I am in San Francisco and 2. There are few people I would be in a serious committed monogamous relationship with and he is not one of them. So basically we are long-distance booty calls although, I dunno. A little more than that, it qualifies as relationship status but it's not a classicly defined one. Also I am dating myself because I am prone to a little egocentrism.

My answers have changed of late. If you asked a few months ago my answers would have been:
I am dating multiple people
I can have sex with (most) anyone I want
I can make out with (most) anyone I want
I can flirt with (most) anyone I want
I can play/do scenes (in the bdsm sense) with (most) anyone I want
I can have sex with only specific people (either anonymous strangers or specific approved lovers)

But since that time I have met someone special the_aitch ,he will be moving in with me in March, and since I believe in monogamy and committed relationships my answers are now:
I am in a "serious" relationship
I am dating one person regularly
I have sex with only my one partner

We have discussed our relationship and both agree that an open one is not for us, however if we feel the need for variation, we can and will compromise. Communication is the key.

I'm "dating" one person regularly, but we're not "dating" in title and when I reference her in conversation, I generally say she the girl I'm making out with, because, you know, that sounds cuter than "the girl I slept with once and realized I love conversation with and started on the path toward "relationship" with when we both realized that we're not okay with that direction of anything in our life and pulled back and now we mostly get drunk and then sleep in the same bed and don't have sex" But I'm not dating anyone else because I really do prefer Heather to any of the other girls I was half seeing when we met.
