It's a strange sad affair, sometimes seems like we just don't care.

Lesson Learned: Don't do karaoke on Saturday nights. I mean, the crowd was pretty funny and hopping, but that means lots of people in my group got lost in the shuffle and didn't get to sing, even after a couple hours of waiting. Which is a shame, because when our group sang, it was amazing. Way better than those overly clever hipsters who sang dozens of times. Better to do Sunday night or a weeknight and have the place to yourself. But that's all okay because I was all about the loving words I got from people who were there. And singing along at the top of our lungs to other people's songs. Including serenading thebrownhornet via cell phone Todd Rundgren's Hello Its Me.

I sat down with so much more to write, but now I need to shower and make coffee and wake up Lowenstein so we can go to temple. I think I'm saving all the words in my head for other writing.

Sunday will be a day of sorting paperwork, finishing up work and eating. Lots and lots of eating.

I had certainly had enough Mary Chapin Carpenter and Dixie Chicks by the time I left. Wednesday or Sunday it is, next time.

But I also had a blast, and right after you left Crystal (En Vogue's "Don't Let Go) and I (Aerosmith's "Dream On") got another go. I loved meeting your friends, who are lovely and talented and fun.
