Even though I know the American Red Cross isn't 'bad', I wanted my money to go somewhere different, an organization that hopefully seems more closely aligned to my belief system, political, spiritual and otherwise. So I went with Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).

I think the Red Cross has overbearing adminstrative costs. I think it's like more than 20%. Knowing that 20 of my 100 bucks is going to comfy chairs and computer cozies makes me a little ill.

I like DWBs. I will give my cash to them.

I was having the same dilemma. I think Doctor's Without Borders is a pretty good bet.

i just e-mailed you.

i also just read your lj post and had this urge to call up the hotline and see if you'd answer. which is strange because i'm bad at talking on the phone, or rather, i'm bad at making phone calls or answering the phone. once i'm talking, i'm okay.

Go Ray!

Now that I have a regular job, I'm more and more aware how difficult it can be to actually live your values when you could go to the movies instead. I'm failing pretty miserablly, but this is a good idea.
