So my friend penpusher started an online blogging-related talk show called, conveniently enough: talk_show. And I have the honor of being the next guest. Please go check out the past episodes, add the journal, and look for my own interview to show up sometime next week.

Is it strange to plug a plug? Like, I'm plugging something that's culturally associated with selling an artistic project? Maybe not, because penpusher is more of a Charlie Rose than a Jay Leno.

Charlie Rose!

I'm not sure if we talked about this, but I love Charlie Rose. Almost everyone I know hates him, primarily because he interrupts his guests. His speech patterns are rude, but I take it as him being geniunely excited about the current subject, and it makes his show feel more like a conversation instead of an interview.

I saw Jared Diamond, author of Collapse, on there last week. I'm feeling him, too.

yes, i definitely meant it as more of a compliment by saying he's like charlie rose! he seems to actually know about who he's talking to, not just reciting the bullet points the PR people feed other interviewers.

i was just thinking about you and wondering if you were drunk. yeah, i know it's 10 am, but mardi gras!! in new orleans!! also, in a thrift store a few days ago i saw a new orleans tourist t-shirt and almost bought it and mailed it to you. because the idea made me laugh.

Nah, I'm pretty sober here - crappy, "cold" weather and busy work has kept me off the streets since Wednesday's parade. I'll probably be out every day from tonight until Tuesday. And on Tuesday, you get up and have a drink to start your day - and I don't think they mean mimosas.

I'm taking Tuesday and Wednesday off.
