I'm a dildo, you're a whore.
Apr. 23rd, 2005 06:00 pmSo yesterday I bought these two pieces at the art sale. They are pictures developed on glass panes.
Backed by a plain white sheet of paper

Backed by sunlight

And I'd like to mount them and put them in my office window. Perhaps finding two frames I like, removing the glass panes, and putting a transparent/translucent backing to them. Or leaving them bare. Or, in moments of feeling ambitious, I think I'll construct some sort of box with an artificial light source. Anyone know how natural and/or artificial light might degrade the print? I'm pretty sure it's silver gelatin something....I will e-mail the artist directly, but she's new to the process herself, so I halfway suspect she won't know. Which is why I'm asking all the various artists/photographers/smart people on my friends list.
So my playdate for the night cancelled on me this afternoon. And I'm not that bummed, even though I do want to get with this guy again eventually. I should get some schoolwork done, since so far today I've just watched two movies (Criminal and House of Flying Daggers), but I want to continue snuggling on the couch and watching television.
Or maybe I really will dig out some art supplies. See if my oil and acrylic paints are crusty beyond use.
Last night Liza gave me lots of old CDs she wanted to clean out of her collection. Several of them are entertaining for a song or two, but can't really hold my attention. However, I'm totally in love with this Yoko Ono/IMA album. I'm now at the part of the album with the 15 minute song where she's doing vocal work that sounds like she's getting killed or having an orgasm. Or both.
