I just performed one of the most disgusting cleaning tasks, which was removing months of layers of dust and grime from the kitchen ceiling fan. I couldn't even get it totally clean because it was too high up and at one point I suddenly got a burst of vertigo and nearly fell over. It scared me enough to deem the project "clean enough" and I got down. I have weeks of clean clothes to put away and mail to sort and papers to put away, but all I want is to ride my bike to shady patch of grass and read a book.

you must be b.o.r.e.d. :( good thing you didn't fall, though.

it's one of those things where there are plenty of things i SHOULD do or things i'd PREFER to do, but i fixate on some other inane task instead.

also, i thought of you the other day when i saw a playbill for a band called "cooler by the lake". i looked at the picture to see if you were in the band, but they were all over 45.

ha... a girl on my friends list took a picture of one of those playbills for me. i shrunk it down and used it as my usericon for a while. :)

oh, sh*t raymond. i could have lent you my ceiling-fan-swiffer-thingy (with telescoping wand!). you can't pass up items with telescoping wands, you know what i mean?

aw thanks. you know, i was totally trying to use the regular swiffer for the job, but i couldn't get the damb blades to stand still, so i ended up using the swiffer with my left hand to keep them from spinning and using a regular feather duster with my right hand while standing on my tip-toes. a classy operation. and frankly, the fan is so dirty, no ammount of swiffering in the world would work -- it needs a real sponge and real cleaner.

but maybe with a telescoping wand too.

oooh!

One day I'm gonna spray cooking spray on my ceiling fan and pray it keeps the dust from sticking. 'Til then looks like we're in the same boat.

that unsightly grime
