Today I heard thebrownhornet's voice for the first time -- I called him about an hour after he started getting cell phone reception again.

My sleep schedule has been crazy. It started with going to bed late on Friday after a couch marathon of SFU, then going to bed at 4 am on Saturday after a birthday party then going to the Museum of Science and Industry to see the Body World exhibit. Yeah, we were at the museum at 2 am. We dubbed it Geeks Gone Wild! Then last night I took a nap from midnight to 1 am, then went with dommeyourass at 3 am to take pictures of a crime scene for her trial tomorrow. Today I've done nothing productive to my development as a writer or a person, but I did fire up the grill and cook veggie skewers, beef skewers, corn on the cob, and two kinds of chicken. No, no party. Just the two of us. But now we have food for the next couple days too. Now I'm sitting here barefoot but wearing a hat, waiting for a phone call to go out for drinks which may or may not be a date. I always go on dates at inappropriate times. Inappropriate scheduling-wise, that is. I have 5 days of work to do in 3 days, but whatever.

Two exciting things about my date: 1) we did not meet through a personal ad; and 2) they are in no way connected to my immediate circle of friends, or even the outer circles. I love y'all, but damn, sometimes it gets a little too connected and in everyone's business. I just can't be talking to the same five people everyday. It starts to fck up my world view and contributes to narcissism, I think. This is assuming I even talk to people. I love how I talk like I'm some social extrovert when the reality is a 30 minute phonecall can sometimes make me want to hole up for a day.

I'm in some isht. I don't know what it is, but I'm in it.

Oh, and I'm leaving for California on Friday morning. The road trip is on.

yes, it was a date. though a wholesome one. but with possibility, and possibility and potential is always good.

no, it's not L.A. -- i'll be in san fran! i'm driving out my friend who will be limenal's new roommate. we're probably going to arrive tuesday....i'm flying back on friday. will you be around next week?

i'll call/text you as i get closer to cali, since i'm not sure when i'll be arriving and free. but i suspect maybe wednesday evening or thursday afternoon would be the better times.
