I'd call that a False Cause argument. There's a correlation between religious fundamentalism and poverty, but I couldn't say with certainty that one causes the other.

Hey - it was really great to see you, eat dinner with you and make lots of jokes. Hope you had fun too.

Sorry the crowd was so lousy. I should have tried to warn you ahead of time - the word on the street was that the women would dance, while most of the men hang back with their cocktails, too cool to dance at the hotel party.

Plus, we're all reporters, more famous for being cynical than for dancing ability.

But I had a great time anyway. Hope you did too.

i had a GREAT time at dinner with you, and the steak was just icing on the cake. and the crowd was a little tough, but i was happy to see all the important people dancing. i.e., you!

at the end of the night, several people thought i was from miami. :)

Dear lord. Miami. I did my best to explain.

those "researchers" should be fired. their conclusions make about as much sense from a scientific perspective as saying that living in a european country that is on an island and is a former colonial superpower causes bad teeth. (you know, that whole thing about how british dental care is sub-par and so people from england have bad teeth.)
