1. How to Be Invisible -- Kate Bush. from her latest album Aeriel. I was obsessed with this song and "King of the Mountain" when it came out last year, and then last week one morning I woke up with it in my head and I've gotten re-obsessed.
2. Reason to Believe -- Michael Penn and Aimee Mann. A cover of the Bruce Springsteen song, that my friend Steve turned me onto years ago and it popped up randomly on my ipod last week and I forgot how bloody amazing it it.
3. I'll Never Get Over You Getting Over Me -- Expose. When thebrownhornet was in town for all of 5 minutes last weekend, we went for drinks and karaoke and I saw this in the book and had forgotten about it and went home and downloaded and put in on heavy rotation.
4. Ain't No Other Man -- Christina Aguilera. The lyrics are regurgitated and boring, which is sad, because the melody isn't bad and the production fcking kills me. I didn't fully realize how good it was until I heard it on my headphones, not on the radio. Then I read that DJ Premier produced it. That explains it.
5. This is How It Goes -- Aimee Mann. I'm on an Aimee Mann kick, which really just means a few months passed.
6. Bloody M*ther F*cking A$$hole -- Martha Wainwright. I think this might be my theme song. Not because of the title. Though it's a good title.
7. No Trust -- The Black Keys. I used to feel more guilty about my love for the Black Keys, but I figured out its because I listen to this music because it makes me want to have sex, no matter how hot and humid it is. Or maybe because of how hot and humid it is.
