"A nasal wash can be as routine as brushing your teeth."

Why didn't someone tell me??!?

I mean, okay, people have mentioned it in passing, have vouched for its effectiveness, have claimed to use one on occasion. But c'mon now, no one told me HOW great it would be. Is it because of pictures like this?

(Which, I must confess, my 12-year-old-boy-self cracks up at all these pictures of nice white ladies on the boxes and websites, though I suspect they actually are holding an empty pot and the stream of water was digitally added.)

But let's stop being ashamed or grossed out. Besides, the nose enema might save my life. I've been using plain store-brand saline nasal sprays for years, when having cold/flu/sinus and I haven't gotten sinus or ear or throat infections because of it. But the neti pot is a whole other experience. I swear, I felt high afterwards. And completely symptom free. Now that a little time has elapsed, it's creeping back a little. But only a little.

I've been changed.

during allergy attacks, i've also been known to just snort a handful of water as well to help clean it out. but this little device makes it so much easier.

now i'm curious to see you do it with a coffee cup. i'm going to start a photo project where i document every friend of mine engaging in "nasal irrigation".
