Dr Laura has forever ruined Patti Labelle's "New Attitude" for me. It's a shame too, because I used to like that song. Now when I hear it, I also hear Dr. Laura's shiksa voice saying, "I am my kid's mom" and admonishing callers for either living in sin or not putting their born-out-of-wedlock children up for adoption.

i didn't listen to the song for about 10 years because it seemed to be used in LOTS of commercials. but a couple years ago, thebrownhornet mentioned listening to it, and i was able to reclaim it.
