we had one growing up. corn sticks are especially good for dipping in chili!

i made a big slab of cornbread on sunday, and every meal since then has been prepared in a bowl, with cornbread on the bottom. black beans and rice for dinner! a fried egg and sauteeed spinach for breakfast! lentil soup for lunch!

now i want your chili too.

i was thinking the SAME THING, pd, while riding my bike home after therapy today. its cold weather, we need an adventure. maybe because we went up there on the day of a blizzard, i have the association.

i could do this sunday, after 1 or so. or either day next weekend. we should check with the rest of the crew, too.

i think this device would actual solve my dilemma. because this is what my mother used to make our family dinner cornbread, which, its not like i forgot this fact, i think i just finally accepted that 80% of making the "right cornbread" is about the physics, not the chemistry. more crust! less crumbly!

also, margarine. this last bunch was done with straight-up blue bonnet and it is fcking fantastic.
