i think this device would actual solve my dilemma. because this is what my mother used to make our family dinner cornbread, which, its not like i forgot this fact, i think i just finally accepted that 80% of making the "right cornbread" is about the physics, not the chemistry. more crust! less crumbly!

also, margarine. this last bunch was done with straight-up blue bonnet and it is fcking fantastic.
