Fyi, if you have you have not been receiving livejournal comments, I just found this:

Ah, this explains it. So I changed mine to yahoo. Which means in the past week, if I commented on your journal and you commented back, I may have never gotten them and I may never get them. I'm sure nothing critical was said, like, 'I'm bleeding, call 911', but still. I might appear rude, and I can't have that!

While I'm on the topic of technology, I still haven't gotten a MySpace page (though I briefly considered it recently), but I did get a Facebook one. I am "Ray Bear". And if you add me, I might zombie bite you and invite you to play scrabble with me, since that's about the only two reasons I'm on there.

It took me 20 minutes to figure out how to play scrabble and I was cursing like an ex-sailor grandpa with kids on his front lawn.

Once I got my brain oriented around the fact that this site seems to be a giant toybox for adults, it helped. I'm still avoiding most applications though.

to clarify, my personal stance on myspace was primarily about the ridiculous and upsetting design of the site and how it hurt my eyes. secondary reasons included that i didn't want to join something that seemed to duplicate the same purpose as livejournal (i.e. blogging actual thoughts).

joining facebook kinda violates the latter. but at least the layout is clean and pretty to look out. also, scrabble. i'm currently playing 9 games.
