Last night I had the most amazingly perfect tailormade dream for me, I can't believe I made it this far along in life until I had it.

I was in Atlanta and somehow had managed to meet and chat with Barbra Streisand when I ran into her and her small entourage. Then it was just us hanging out and she loved me almost instantly. We went back to her super plush hotel room which was essentially a penthouse apartment, and she had to run off and meet people before her show, so she left me there. Then she started texting me while gone, and let me tell you, Babs was using some crazy shorthand speak. (Then again, it was a dream, its always hard to read electronics in dreams.) She was totally strange and kooky in the ways you would expect real-life Barbra Streisand to be, which I loved. She was also extremely kind and generous and immediately taken with me in a way that made her very affectionate and loving and reassuring and she wanted me to visit her in L.A. all the time and be her surrogate son. When I told her I was a writer, she thought that was amazing, and when I came out as trans, she though that even better.

There were also moments of borderline sexual attraction and I wasn't sure how that was going to do down.

Since I read this before coffee, my mind substituted "Barbara Mandrell" for "Barbara Streisand" and conjured images of Southern Belles and fringed outfits.
