Its snowing again, the big chunky snowglobe flakes. I think its mostly decorative, it won't last long. I don't mind. Because snow means its probably above 15 degrees outside. And because I'm flying to Miami tomorrow morning!!! I am slightly bummed that it looks to be partly cloudy with a chance of rain all weekend, with a high of 80. Though I hear the rainstorms are pretty beautiful too, actually. I just want them to be brief, I don't want it any hotter, but sunnier would be great. In case you're listening, universe. Hey, while typing this up, the sun came out. Awwww. Thanks.
I have a question: is it considered bad form to go to a nude beach and not be naked? What if I'm just scantily clad? I'm considering going because one, I'm a voyeur and, two, its vacation! I don't live in that city! and three, only if I can wear a bathing suit in the style of this:

Last year H&M was selling trunks like this, so I might go downtown early today and see if they have something comparable. Other random things on my vacation to-do list in Miami: go to the botanical gardens, eat Haitian food for the first time, watch the sunrise on the beach, and only drink cocktails that contain rum. Or maybe tequila. And one of them should have an umbrella in it and brought to me while I'm on the beach.
I finished my breakfast, I get to start packing. Oh! I need to make a playlist for my vacation. I need help. I'm a little burnt out on music right now, because I've been listening to so much, all the time. So please recommend me a song. It doesn't have to be new/obscure at all. In fact, fun and familiar is good. If it has themes related to my trip, like sun, beach, vacation, happy dancing, springtime, etc. that is great, but it doesn't have to be explicitly so.
(And please, don't suggest Will Smith's Miami or The Go-Go's Vacation.)

I think you'll probably be fine at the beach scantily clad. You may not be the only one--nude beaches I've been to definitely have a range of nudity. But I've not been to one in Miami, so it's quite possible I'm wrong.

I made Leroy's class a super poppy valentines mix and Accidentally in Love from the Shrek 2 soundtrack, by the Counting Crows is a guilty singalong pleasure. Also The Sun Will Follow by Pianosaurus, you can find it online and download it, I loved them in 87 or something!

Date: 2008-02-21 07:58 pm (UTC)In the meantime? I recommend "The Bird & The Bee" - I'm only recommending it to you though because I'm putting "Polite Dance Song" on the Recommended CD...but I also really love "Man" - they're both from the "Clap Your Hands" CD.
I'm digging these songs too:
Kate Nash: Mouthwash
Grace Potter & The Nocturnals: Apologies
Josh Radin: Today
Jon Foreman: Behind Your Eyes
Brett Dennen: She's Mine
