Earlier today there was a news headline that said: Possible twister touches down in Texas.

Hello, vague. Also, wait, this is news? Tomorrow it will say, rain fell in the pacific northwest.

This headline made me snort coffee: Justice Scalia opens up about Bush v. Gore, says 'Get over it'.

Yeah, that sounds about how good ole Nino would open up and share his feelings.

I walked halfway to work today and right when I was almost here, I got sucked into Rock Records because everything is 50% off and I have no CDs here in the office. For $10, I got two best-of collections: Kenny Rogers and Olivia Newton John. There is going to be some significant mellowing happening this evening.

ETA: Except the CD player doesn't work. Back to "The Drive". ONJ and Kenny will have to wait until I get home.

I'm not sure I could handle the Kenny Rogers but the ONJ sounds fun.

Are you a Bowie fan? If so, what do you consider to be Bowie's best album? For me, it's between two.

Also, name your three favorite movie musicals.

I'll be in Chicago on May 26th, I believe. I think I might still be in your calendar but we should confirm.

I do still have it in my calendar!

Hunky Dory is my favorite Bowie album.

Three favorite movie musicals is hard, because mostly I prefer stage versions and often feel somewhat deflated after watching movie versions. But specifically within the realm of movies, I'd have to say: Grease, Chicago, and Yentl. And for honorable mention, a tie between Dream Girls and Moulin Rouge. (Yeah, I said Moulin Rouge.)

Oh isht, I forgot Little Shop of Horrors. That might be more of a childhood personal favorite, not so much a critical vote I could support with an argument.

How about you?

For Bowie, it's definitely between Ziggy and Hunky Dory. Ziggy is historically a breakthrough album but Hunky Dory is my favorite songwriting-wise.

As for musicals? Hmmm. I guess I should think of answers to my own questions. Movie-wise, I like: Oklahoma, Rocky Horror, Dancer in the Dark, and Singin' in the Rain. I feel like there is one major favorite I'm not thinking of, but there ya go.

I got fired from my job today.

Why do I not have any Kenny Rogers or Olivia Newton John?

That's a bummer.

Unless you were on a campaign to make it happen so you could leave and collect unemployment, in which case, congratulations!

They have extra copies of both CDs at the store, if you so desire.
