You know? I read that this morning and just couldn't f'ing believe it. But since I'm a woman, I just have to vote for him, now. I mean, that's how this works, right? (I do have to say, she is the most cheery looking Republican candidate I've ever seen. Very smiley). Did you catch the reporting on the white guys who were driving around with a bunch of weapons talking about assassinating Obama? The press actually quoted their defense attorneys (which is not a typical press reporting strategy, imho) saying "They were just a bunch of methheads." And the official said they weren't a "credible threat." Can you imagine if a bunch of Black guys on drugs with a bunch of weapons were threatening a prominent white politician? Somehow I don't think it would play out the same....
Duh, black guys are always a credible threat. Last night on NPR, after Obama's speech they were interviewing this holy roller black church lady who was preaching and there was a big BANG and I swear the in studio commentator freaked out until the roving reporter said, "Did you hear that? Fireworks!!!"
I didn't watch the convention, I was listening to it at work on NPR, and I was so frustrated with them too. Why do people think they are liberal?? Then I was like, oh yeah, I'm kind of a commie.
Unrelated: I went to the Lakeview Y on Wednesday and looked around for you on the offchance you might be there working out! Maybe next week we can meet up.
I went to the Lakeview Y last nite, though because of ridiculous traffic and logistical hassles, all I was able to do was take a gross shower in the family locker room. I'm going today to work out around 415. Would love to meet up with you sometime, at any rate. I'm trying to get up earlier, but haven't been that successful....
