Charlie Gibson was being a jerk and Diane Sawyer was sleep-deprived and possibly drunk and the special reports interrupting themselves to announce Ohio nearly gave us all an aneurysm....and then, out of nowhere, they called it for Obama. And even though I knew it would happen, I'd memorized the paths to victory in electroral votes, that Ohio and Pennsylvania were really enough as long as he held on everywhere else, it didn't feel real, I didn't believe them at all. Until Kim pointed the laptop to Fox News and we saw this and I knew if they were saying it, it had really happened.

You know...I just had a feeling all day that this is how it would turn out. I wasn't surprised at all, except that in the end, I am totally shocked...if that makes any sense. I guess I am shocked that the gop didn't figure out some way to stop democracy in action again the way that they have gotten so good at. Needless to say, I am so freaking happy. xoxo to you!
