I didn't know that it was an official homage to that in particular, but the first time I saw the "Single Ladies" video I was reminded of the other and thought, "Someone's been studying Fosse."

Apparently Beyonce loved the Walk It Out video that she told the director and choreographer she wanted to make a video directly inspired by it. According to Entertainment Weekly, depending on how dubious you find their reportage.
