When she came into my life, her belly was shaved from getting neutered at the pound, and her belly was shaved from the ultrasound on the last day I knew her.

It's always pet deaths that stir up all of my bottled-up sadness over human deaths and I'm a big ol' mess right now. I'm so sad for you but so happy Sophie was in your life (and thereby in mine), even though it was for a short time. I love you.
