I'm still snickering about something that happened this morning. The alarm went off, and they were playing that horrible horrible song, Contagious by "The Isley Brothers" (I don't believe it's REALLY them). MelRo thought it was some made up song by Howard McGee, like a parody. Then she made some comment about how she believes her personal quality of life has been diminished because she heard that particular waste of a song. Tee-hee. Then again, I'm also still laughing about a line from the movie on Saturday night. We decided to get popcorn, since we had free passes to the movie, and the two of us pretty much inhaled most of the bag in the 20 minutes before the movie started. Near the end of the bag, something happened and the bag tipped and almost capsized, but she caught it. I said something about it being a close call, and she said "yeah, good thing we're pigs otherwise we would have had popcorn all over us."

i'm laughing right now.

maybe you had to be there. but i'm writing this down so i'll remember it, not you. :)

ok. now i'm really going to cry. i'd love some ice cream and a walk with my favorite always-showing-up-in-my-dreams guy. i wish i could say i'll be in chicago soon. i'll be at the airport this friday for a couple of hours, and again tuesday night. but not chicago. and i don't think they even let people in to the airports who aren't flying anymore, do they?

::sniff:: ::sniff::

i think i'm getting my period soon. i'm having constant ups and downs and the only thing that would make me happy right now (the only thing in the realm of the possible, that is) is a bag of cheetos and a diet dr. pepper. food, always. and routine. and though i dislike blaming moods on my rag, and finding comfort in food, these are the sad facts.

aaahhh, diet dr. pepper and cheetos, lovely. i think i'll have to get some this week to make me feel better. good idea!

and ray, yep, i may be around again soon. i've recently been liking commenting more than writing, but, i figure that's somehow unfair and i should post.

when will your layover be on Friday and Tuesday? which airport? i'd certainly like to try to see you, even if for just an hour or so, hanging out by the baggage claim. i can check on what's up with O-Hare and their security regulations....

wow. that'd be great. really great. super great. fan-fucking-tastic. jeebus, stop.

o'hare. that's where i'll be. friday from 12:22 until 3:22 and then tuesday night from 5:45 until 7:26.

they were out of ddp (diet dr. pepper) at walgreen's. sad. diet coke is no subsitute, because it really tastes *diet*. yet, i settled. the cheetos were good. i could eat another whole big grab bag. my stomach is a bottomless pit.

i'd *love* to see you. but don't feel like you've got to rearrange your schedule or anything. i need to really get up there for real soon. all of my best friends from high school now live there, plus, well, you and lots of other folks i want to see. i need a good three day weekend, and for someone to buy me a plane ticket :). i'm going to look at prices right now, actually.
