Jun. 20th, 2001 10:13 amIt probably was a mistake to write my letter to Melanie first thing at work (I got here early), because now I feel all distracted and overly emotional. On my lunch break I'm going to go to Walgreens and buy some things to put in her package -- maybe a Pez dispenser, batteries, and what ever else fun things are found at a drugstore. I guess by posting this I run the risk of her reading this in advance, but I don't think she'll have good internet access until next week when she's working in the office -- so I'll take advantage of the delay!
I watched some of my movies last night. I only got to the first Nina Hartley movie (I saved them for last because I figured they'd probably be the best), and it was fairly interesting and fascinating, especially in a sociology of sexuality sort of way. Basically, she does these "how-to" videos that obviously include concrete physical tips, but she also spends about 30 minutes just talking about what she thinks about sexuality and perceptions and what not. Some of it is obviously two-sex centered, and even hetero-centered, but not entirely. But then again, it's geared toward hetero men and women and their sexuality, at least these first 2 videos. So it's not like she's claiming to be a video geared for everyone. I'm curious to see how the other videos turn out, but I also want to watch them with a certain someone. Maybe I'll just watch them twice.
INTERRUPTION!!! I'm talking on the phone with Melanie. Yay!! I'm so happy....I'll type more later.
