They're coming to take me away....

Why must my co-worker clip their fingernails at their desk, particularly when their desk is approx. twenty feet away and the high-frequency metal ringing can pierce my eardrums so easily, distracting me with madness while I'm trying to calculate expense forms?!?

They're trying to kill me.

ya, I think that is the grossest of all office habits.

Maybe they're demons from another dimension. Maybe they're sucking your life force from you when you snooze at your desk. Maybe you should kill them. Yeah, that's it. KILL THEM!

I love/hate that episode because it's my biggest fear -- everyone around me thinking I'm crazy when I know I'm right. Much like the John Ritter Robot Dad episode.

What do you mean, episode? Was that on TV or something? It happened to me in real life.

You know what is my big big pet peeve... I have two:

1. People who walk away from their spots and don't log out of the phone tree..therefore making it ring and ring and ring until I (seeing as how no one else seems to care) walk over and log them out.

2. People who can't take a hint that you're on a phone call. They talk at you anyway and you have the whole cross-talk interference head rattle problem. That, my friend, is frickin' rude. I'm occasionally guilty of this but I'm overly apologetic when it happens. I just love when people have no remorse for that. :snark:

But clipping fingernails..? That's a bit excessive. That's why people created restrooms. Do yer clipping in there, cliptastic coworker!

Addendum...: I would take a progressive/pseudo-progressive nailclipping coworker over a bigot anyday.

I think it is so disgusting. There was a guy near me he use to clip his fingernails.

Clipping of nails in an office, I can handle. Peainting of nails in an office? No thanks. I like to breathe air while I'm working, thank you very much, not chemical death.
