December is going to be an expensive month. But I'm not going to let myself freak out about money. I will have active trust and I will be thrifty when I'm in L.A. (including spending my food money at a grocery store and eating in the room rather than eating all meals in takeout and restaurant form).

I'm having lots urges lately to make lists. List of things to buy before my trip. Lists of what to pack. Lists of what to read. Lists of presents to figure out. List of new year's resolutions. I think it's an attempt to have tangible evidence of what I'm doing and getting done. To make my plans seem more real, because right now it still hasn't quite sunk into my brain what I'm doing.

I keep thinking I have something to say or write here, but really, I don't. I'm feeling excessively boring these days. Which is probably why I dressed extra fagalicious today, even though I'm not planning on doing anything but coming home after work and doing reading, but I wanted to boost my mood a bit. I did have a lovely dinner at Nookie's last night with johnny_savage, stingysnoozer, thebrownhornet, Quincy, and limenal.

That pretty much brings us current.

my schedule is pretty packed during the days and often into the evening, so i'm definitely needing to play my outside activites by ear. but i think i'll be able to arrange meeting up with you, as well as trooper6, and of course, at some point, i'll probably want to see Return of the King. if you're interested in that too, maybe one night we could do dinner and movie. i'm renting a car and staying at the Furama hotel in L.A., about 5 minutes from Marina del Rey. and I'll e-mail you my cell phone number at some point so we can make plans when I get to town.

i'll be in l.a. doing my grad school residency. i'll be pretty busy all during the day and lots of evenings, but if you and the cass-man are free to drive into the city one night, it would be fun to see you. i'll drop a line once i'm there and i have a better idea of what's up.
