And here I thought all this time I grew up in a hardcore suburb.

if i remember correctly, when i was in high school, the numbers quoted often were 80% black, 15% white, and 5% "other" aka everybody else who wasn't black or white and probably primarily asian. according to these current stats, it's now 1% white.

yeah, the reverse white flight is probably less likely to happen in my school only because atlanta is so spread out and integrated/segregated in different ways than some other urban metro areas. and yeah, i think chicago gentrification is definitely an example of what you're talking about.
