Night is draggin' her feet
Apr. 29th, 2005 03:50 pmI wrote for about an hour straight. I got a brainstorm for how to get closer to my four main characters and gave myself a writing assignment for each of them. I shut down all the e-mail windows and chat browsers to resist temptations, but I was listening to iTunes, my "smart" playlist I cleverly entitled 'Classical'. It worked well and after writing only 4 pages, I feel like I opened a window onto my stagnant project.
Right as a I finished saving my documents and got ready to get up from the computer, Olivia Newton John's "A Little More Love" came on. To which I said: ?????
C'mon iTunes, ONJ is more chamber than classical.

Date: 2005-04-30 05:46 pm (UTC)I'm teaching a History of Electronic Dance Music class this summer, and I really want to make the class more international than it has been. I want to include Bangra and things that represent big movements from other countries. (I'm thinking Japan, Israel, Latin America)--but I don't know thier dance scenes.
I was wondering if you, as a gigging DJ, might have some info? I want the class to be more than the same old story.
