I just rewatched the movie Labyrinth, which I picked up on a lark at the public library. I've only seen it once before, back when it first came out, and I'm pleased to say that my response as a 30 year old is exactly the same as when I was 10:

What the hell was that?

Also, its possible I will spend tonight dreaming of fondling David's polyester package.

I had those two movies linked for a long time as well! And sadly, true-to-form with my childhood bad taste, I think I actually liked Legend better. (Of course that isn't saying too much, since I only watched both movies once and barely remember them.)

OK...as a kinky goth girl...I also love Legend. Hell, I watched it yesterday. When I was little, it taught me there was purpose to evil. As a teenager, it gave me tragically dark things to say to others (Question why do you wear back so much? "Black as midnight, black as pitch, blacker than the blackest witch!!"), as an adult, I like human pony play, in part because I find Curry's demon character sexy. Perhaps more than you wanted to know...BUT I do not think it is bad-taste to appreciate the movie.

I certainly did not mean to insult anyone's favorite movie! My reference to "childhood bad taste" is more about my tendency to prefer the 'less critically acclaimed version' of two similar things -- for example, I preferred The Munsters over The Addams Family and I Dream of Jeanne over Bewitched.

I actually like BOTH...my boyfriend is just sick of me watching musicals right now...
